People are complex.
Love a double-edged sword.
And when it comes to a broken heart, there are no rules, only time…

For the past eight years, Julien Thornton has been living with a secret. One that only a handful of people know about.

To the outside world, he has it all.

A thriving career. A loving husband. And a face that the American public fell for by the millions, on a reality show that inadvertently saved his life.

But behind the shine of celebrity, behind the easygoing nature, a crippling truth fills Julien with pain and self-loathing. It’s a truth that he fights to overcome daily with the help of his husband, Joel Priestley, and now their boyfriend, Robbie Bianchi.

But unlike Priest, Robbie doesn’t know what he’s helping Julien to fight. He doesn’t know what Julien did all those years ago. And with the anniversary of his sister’s death fast approaching, the time for explanations is running out.

And thus the question: will the princess be able to forgive the prick as the priest once did?

Only time will tell.

I liked this more than book 1, which is a great thing. I thought book 1 was entertaining, but we see a deeper side to Julien and Priest in this book, which was missing from the previous book.

I loved that we learned more from Priest and Julien’s past. In book 1 we learned that Julien carried a lot of guilt for something that happened to one of his family members. We get to see more of that here. And even though this focused on Julien, we did learn just a bit more about Priest. I can’t wait for book 3 to get a fuller picture.

This picks up right where book 1 ends. Robbie is moving in with Priest and Julien and is determined not to be the third wheel in the relationship. He is such light to Julien and Priest’s darkness. He is so patient when it comes to them, and always knows exactly what to say when one of them needs a pick me up.

This was sweet, funny, and emotional. This has been very vague, but I can’t say anything because of spoilers! I will say, I’m tired of these books ending in such awful cliffhangers lol.

If you’re fans of Logan and Tate, no worries, we do see a bit of them here!
